.ALMOST 50 YEARS have passed due to the fact that Morocco stated prepotency over Western Sahara, a piece of land that stretches for 900km along the Atlantic coastline to the country’s south. The Polisario Front– a resistance group backed through Algeria, Morocco’s long-standing competitor, and working with the region’s aboriginal populace, the Sahrawi– is still fighting for management. In 2020 a 29-year ceasefire broke down.
On July 30th France called Morocco’s plan for Western side Sahara the “merely manner” to resolve the problem. Algeria reversed its own ambassador to France in reaction.
